The next step on your way toward better hearing comes with the fitting and adjusting of your hearing aids. Just like with glasses, hearing aids aren’t one size fits all and need a little fine-tuning to ensure optimum comfort and function.
During your fitting, your hearing aid will be programmed to meet your needs, and you’ll be given instructions on how to insert and remove the device, as well as how to change the batteries and clean them. We’ll also review your expectations of your new device and go over how it will work in your day-to-day life. Sometimes the fitting process can be completed on the first try, yet for others it might require a few follow up visits to ensure your device is working well.
When you first receive your hearing aids, there are a few things you can do to ensure that you have success with them. Make sure you wear them as much as you can, so you can adapt to them easily. If you encounter situations where you still aren’t hearing well, write down what happened and let us know so that we can adjust your device. Most importantly, be patient. The time it takes to get your device dialed in and working perfectly for you is worth the few visits it might take.
If you aren’t satisfied with your hearing aids after several visits, we completely understand. All of our hearing aids include a 45-day risk-free return/exchange period as well as a comprehensive manufacturer’s warranty. Towers Audiology Center is committed to your success and happiness with your new device.
